The Vote

Troubadour's voting system is relatively easy. Everyone gets a voting slip and a pencil. This voting slip has the names of all the musicians, placement boxes from 1-6 and a place where they can write down commentary.

After the first part of the show, we collect all the voting slips and the winners are chosen through a mathematical process. Each Juror has 1/3 of the vote. So, Juror #1 (1/3), Juror #2 (1/3) and the Audience (1/3).

Using a simple Excel Spreadsheet, all the placements are entered into the Artist's column. The numbers are then added up and the Artist who has the lesser number is the winner. If there is a tie, the Audience's pick is the winner.
